Recipe Vault
The recipes that built your family's table, preserved the way they were always meant to be shared.
A recipe is never just a recipe. It's the smell of a kitchen on a Sunday morning. It's the handwriting on an index card someone saved for thirty years. It's a dish that only tasted right when a particular person made it — and the story, usually half-forgotten, about where it came from. Recipe Vault was built to hold all of that, not just the ingredients.
When you add a recipe to a memorial, you're not filling out a template. You're attaching the story behind it — why this dish mattered, who made it, what occasion it belonged to. You can add photos of the dish, the handwritten card, the people gathered around it. And if you want to record yourself telling the story out loud, you can do that too.
The result is something closer to a living cookbook than a database entry. Families can browse recipes on the memorial page, listen to the voice behind each one, and keep the tradition going — not because someone wrote it down, but because someone took the time to explain it.
Simple from the first step.
Add a recipe from the memorial dashboard — give it a title, the ingredients and method, and the story behind it.
Include photos of the dish, the original handwritten card, or the person who made it. Add a voice recording if you'd like.
Recipes appear on the public memorial page and in the shared Listening Room for the whole family to explore and remember.
Recipes can be set to public — visible to anyone who visits the memorial — or kept private for family only. The owner controls visibility for each recipe individually.
Every recipe is credited to the person who shared it. Over time, a memorial's Recipe Vault becomes a record not just of the dishes, but of who in the family remembered them and cared enough to write them down.
Recipes are also browsable in the Listening Room, the public space where visitors can explore shared memorials. If a memorial's Listening Room is enabled, its recipes can appear there — searchable by category, surfaced for anyone who might find something familiar in them.
