Heirloom Stories
A quilt she made. A ring he never took off. The story behind an object shouldn't have to be passed down from memory alone.
Every family has objects that carry more weight than their size or value would suggest — a quilt stitched by hand, a watch that was always on his wrist, a tool that built half the things in the garage. The object survives. What's harder to hold onto is the story: who made it, why it mattered, what it meant to them. Heirloom Stories was built to keep that part too.
For each heirloom, you pair one photo of the object with one voice recording explaining its story — in your words or theirs. Use a photo already in the memorial's gallery, or upload one just for this. Attach an existing recording, or record the story fresh, right from the same page.
Once it's ready, publish the heirloom and download a print-ready QR tag labeled "Hear the story behind this." Attach it to the object itself — the quilt, the toolbox, the jewelry box — so anyone who finds it can scan the tag and hear the story in a voice, not just read a name on a card.

From the memorial dashboard, add a heirloom — give it a name, and choose or upload the photo that shows it.
Attach a voice recording that tells its story — pick one you've already made, or record it right there. Confirm it's ready to be heard before publishing.
Publish the heirloom and download its QR tag. Attach the tag to the object — scanning it opens a simple page with just that object's photo, story, and recording.
A heirloom stays a private draft until you publish it. Unpublishing takes effect immediately — the QR tag stops working the moment you do, and it never plays a recording that isn't ready to be heard publicly.
Each heirloom gets a permanent link the moment it's created, so the tag you print keeps working even after you update the name, photo, or recording later — no need to reprint it for small edits.
Heirloom pages aren't listed in the memorial's public gallery, in search results, or anywhere else — the only way to reach one is by scanning its tag or opening its direct link. Heirlooms are managed from the memorial owner's dashboard only, and only appear publicly while the memorial itself remains public.
