This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our Service. By using VoiceForEternity, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account
• Purchase information: Billing name, address, and payment details (processed securely through Stripe — we do not store full card numbers)
• Memorial content: Audio recordings, text notes, photos, and any other content you upload
• Contributor information: Name and relationship provided by phone or invite contributors
• Communications: Emails or messages you send to our support team

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the Service
• Device information: Browser type, operating system, IP address
• Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies to maintain your session and improve your experience

2.3 Information from Third Parties

• Stripe: We receive transaction confirmation and limited billing information from Stripe when you make a purchase
• Twilio: When you use the phone recording feature, Twilio processes your call and provides us with the recording and associated metadata
• Cloudflare: We use Cloudflare R2 for audio file storage

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide and improve the Service
• Process payments and fulfill orders
• Send transactional emails
• Respond to your support requests
• Display your memorial content to authorized viewers
• Feature public memorials in The Listening Room only if you have set your memorial to public
• Deliver Scheduled Messages at the dates you specify
• Comply with legal obligations
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers to operate the Service:

All service providers are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us.

4.2 Public Memorials

If you set your memorial to "public," certain information (name, years, a recording excerpt) may be visible to anyone who visits the public memorial URL or The Listening Room. You control this setting and can change it to "private" at any time.

4.3 Family and Invited Contributors

If you invite family members or contributors to your memorial, they will have access to the content you have designated as shared. You control all invitations and can revoke access at any time.

4.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process such as a subpoena or court order.

4.5 Business Transfers

If No Filter Software is acquired, merges with another company, or transfers its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active
• Audio recordings: Retained indefinitely as part of your memorial, unless you delete them
• Deleted content: When you delete a recording or memorial, it is removed from our systems within 30 days
• Deleted accounts: When you request account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Audio recordings associated with your memorial will also be permanently deleted unless transferred to an Authorized Manager
• Phone call metadata: Retained for 90 days for support and troubleshooting purposes. Call recordings are transferred to your memorial storage immediately and deleted from Twilio within 24 hours

6. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. We implement industry-standard safeguards including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure cloud storage via Cloudflare R2
• Authentication managed through secure password hashing
• Role-based access controls
• Regular security reviews

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Maintain your login session
• Remember your preferences
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the Service

We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across third-party websites. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features.

8. Your Rights and Choices

8.1 Access and Correction

You may access and update your account information at any time through your dashboard settings.

8.2 Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@voiceforeternity.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

8.3 Memorial Visibility

You control whether your memorial is public or private through your dashboard settings at any time.

8.4 Scheduled Messages

You may cancel or modify any scheduled message before its delivery date through your dashboard.

8.5 California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used; request deletion of your personal information; opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information); non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. 9. Children's Privacy

VoiceForEternity is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us at support@voiceforeternity.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. The Listening Room

The Listening Room at listen.voiceforeternity.com allows visitors to browse public memorials. If you create a Listening Room account, we collect your email address and password. Listening Room accounts are separate from memorial owner accounts in presentation but use the same secure authentication system. Favorites saved without an account are stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers.

11. Phone Recording and Caller Privacy

When someone calls our phone recording line:

• The call is processed by Twilio and recorded
• The recording is transferred to our secure storage and deleted from Twilio within 24 hours
• The caller's phone number is logged for call quality and security purposes and retained for 90 days
• Memorial owners are responsible for informing callers that their voice will be recorded and preserved as a memorial contribution

12. Scheduled Messages

Scheduled Messages are private future-delivery messages created by memorial owners. We store the message content securely and deliver it to designated recipients at the specified date. Recipient email addresses provided for scheduled messages are used solely for delivery of those messages and are not used for marketing.

13. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
